This week marked the 10th anniversary of the Connected Palliative Care Team. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues past and present while showcasing the collective achievements of our team and partners over the last decade. A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the afternoon so memorable.

Last year, Macmillan Breast Cancer Care Nurse Amanda was nominated for the award by a patient, who said: "Amanda’s warmth, compassion and support have made an incredible difference throughout my cancer journey.

"From when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, Amanda was there providing answers, comfort, clarity and care."

Super star Steph

“I really enjoy working within palliative care and I work alongside an amazing team. It really is a privilege.”

Meet Steph, a palliative clinical nurse specialist.

She works both in the hospital and out in the community, providing specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing support to patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team across care settings.

Not just any Level 5 Apprenticeship pass, a distinction from the Chartered Management Institute! Paul joined our team as an apprentice administrator starting off answering phones to patients, their families & professionals. Over the years he has developed his skills and now manages our amazing team of administrators who keep our show on the road.
