Last week, Coach Clare took a group of MEE-FIT members out to Greece for our Adventure Club trip to Mount Olympus.

Over the course of the week, the group tackled several hikes, took in some incredible views an amazing experience together.

A few years ago, some of these members probably never imagined themselves doing something like this.

Now they have.

Not because they became superhuman.
Because they stayed consistent and had good people around them.

A massive well done to everyone involved and a special mention to Joolz, who completed the challenge while raising money for Hope House & Ty Gobaith ❤️

New training block starts today!

From now through to July, we’ll be working towards:

– 3-rep max Barbell Back Squat
– 3-rep max Dumbbell Incline Bench Press
- 5-reps Box Jump

For some, these will be completely new movements.
For others, it’s a chance to build on the progress you’ve already made.

Either way, the goal stays the same: turn up consistently, train well, and keep moving forward.

Everything will be coached and adapted to your level throughout the block.

Testing week will take place on the second-to-last week of July for anyone wanting to take part.

What does “healthy ageing” actually look like?

For Sheila, it meant:
• Carrying logs without struggling
• Walking upstairs confidently
• Getting up off the floor
• Feeling capable again
• And not sitting down every five minutes exhausted

This isn’t a conversation about extreme fitness.

It’s about maintaining independence.
Improving quality of life.

Exercise doesn’t need to leave you exhausted to be effective.

Most of our clients leave feeling better than when they walked in.

More energised.
Less stressed.
More confident in themselves.

Yes, we work hard.

But the goal isn’t to break people down.
It’s to help them build strength, confidence, and momentum in a way that actually supports their life.

Especially for people in their 40s, 50s and 60s who are tired of feeling intimidated by gyms or overwhelmed by fitness.

That’s the difference.

The gym should add to your life… not take away from it.
