However, many people don’t call themselves a carer. This is due to the stigma of asking for help, or the assumption that caring is ‘just part of everyday life’.

This Carers Week, we’re proud to stand with Gaddum in amplifying carers’ voices, and signposting carers to support that’s available to them.

‼️Abuse towards GP surgery staff is never acceptable. ‼️

Every day, our GP surgery team works hard to provide care, support, and advice to our patients. From receptionists and administrators to nurses and clinicians, we are all here to help.

We understand that delays, appointment availability, and healthcare concerns can be frustrating, but verbal abuse, threats, or aggressive behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated.

Our team deserves to come to work without fear of being shouted at, insulted, or intimidated. We treat our patients with respect and ask for the same in return.

Please remember that behind every phone call, appointment, and prescription request is a person doing their best to support your healthcare needs.
