📢 Transition Event – Day Opportunity Providers

Are you a young person with a learning disability who is preparing for adult life, or do you support someone who is? Join us at our upcoming Transition Event, focusing on local Day Opportunity Providers, to learn about the activities, support, and opportunities available across Wigan.

🗓 Saturday 20th June
🕚 11:00am – 3:00pm
📍 The Hamlet, Three Sisters Recreation Area, Wigan, WN4 8DD

This is a great opportunity to explore your options, ask questions, and speak directly with providers about what they offer.

A huge thank you to Countryside Outdoor Living for supporting our woodwork shop with a generous timber donation and the offer of ongoing support. We truly appreciate it.
A special thanks to Baz and his team for the warm welcome, the workshop tour and showing us around the impressive showroom. It was great to see the craftsmanship and hard work behind everything you do.

Today we welcomed Bom Ta Bom to STEPSCIC for an exciting drumming workshop. A huge thank you to Mark and his assistant David for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon filled with rhythm-based activities and lots of fun!

We’ve been developing our cricket skills, with a focus on catching, batting and overarm bowling. Through regular practice, everyone has made excellent progress, building confidence and refining their technique. It was great to see these skills put into action during a match, where everyone applied what they had learned and demonstrated strong effort and teamwork.

STEPScic is proud to support Ince CE Primary & Nursery School through the donation of a handmade picnic table and benches. As an organisation rooted in the local community, it means a great deal to us to contribute something that pupils can enjoy every day, whether that’s sitting together, socialising, or making the most of their outdoor space during playtimes.

Wigan Council are holding a FREE Local Offer Live event giving you the opportunity to explore the range of SEND services available for children and young people aged 0–25 across Wigan Borough.

We’ve been busy preparing lunches; chicken wraps, herby potatoes and salad, building both food preparation and customer service skills along the way. It’s been a great example of teamwork, and everything tastes delicious.
