BLACK OBSIDIAN MIRRORS
There’s something undeniably magical about a black obsidian mirror…
Traditionally, these dark reflective surfaces have been used in scrying, a form of meditation and spiritual reflection where you gently gaze into the surface and allow images, thoughts, symbols or feelings to arise.
Ways to use your obsidian mirror:
Scrying — sit somewhere quiet, dim the lights and softly gaze into the mirror. Rather than forcing an image, simply notice what comes to mind.
Shadow work — use it as a tool for self-reflection, exploring thoughts, patterns and parts of yourself you might normally avoid.
Meditation — let the dark surface become a focal point while you quiet your mind.
Ritual work — incorporate it into your altar or use it during intention-setting, moon rituals or other personal practices.
Spiritual reflection — some practitioners use obsidian mirrors as a way of looking inward and connecting with their intuition.
And, of course, you don't need to be witchy to enjoy one. Sometimes a little piece of volcanic glass, a candle and some quiet time is all you need to create your own bit of everyday magic.
Look into the darkness… and see what you discover within.
It's a personal thing and you can interpret the meanings however you wish with your own intentions. It is your journey 💜
