Struggling to follow conversations in meetings? Missing words on the phone? Asking someone else to take the call for you?

Geoff spent his career as an acoustics engineer and company director. Sound was his world. But when he started struggling to hear in meetings, he knew something had to change.

Loudspeaker phones on conference room tables. Colleagues reading from reports. Soft voices on the landline at home. Every day meant concentrating that bit harder and leaning on lip reading, and the stress built up, at work and socially.

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to put up with it.

At Sounds Delightful Hearing in Winnersh, we’ll talk through what you’re finding difficult, check your hearing, and help you find the right solution for your life. Hearing aids can make a real difference to everyday conversations, and we’ll support you at every step.

Geoff’s verdict: “I feel like I have my own private audiologist when I need her.”

Rita was there for it! 🎉

Rita Vara headed along to the launch of Phonak EON, the newest generation of hearing technology just landed in the UK.

Here’s what Phonak EON brings:
🔹 Smarter, AI-powered adaptation that adjusts automatically to wherever you are, from a quiet living room to a busy street
🔹 A sleeker, lighter design built for all-day comfort
🔹 Seamless Bluetooth and Auracast connectivity, so streaming calls, TV and music feels effortless
🔹 New features designed to make maintenance and fittings simpler for our team, meaning more time spent with you

One standout is the improved wind noise reduction. In practice, this means clearer conversations even in blustery conditions, so whether you’re walking the dog, out in the garden, or on the golf course, wind won’t drown out the person you’re talking to.

Here at Sounds Delightful, we’re always looking at what’s next in hearing care, so we can keep bringing our clients the best options available.

Keep watching this space to keep updated on technology that support better hearing!

“Do I need a hearing test, or is it just wax?”

Honestly, it could be either, and that is exactly why we start every visit with a look inside. Wax build-up is common, easy to check for, and often mistaken for the early signs of hearing loss.

Either way, you will leave knowing which one it a - book to see us at https://www.soundsdelightfulhearing.com

Meet Rita Vara, the face behind Sounds Delightful Hearing Solutions. 👋

Rita spent 12 years working in NHS and private hearing services before deciding there had to be a better way, one where clients get properly listened to, not rushed through an appointment.

What makes it a bit different: Rita has hearing loss herself and wears hearing aids day to day. So when she’s helping you choose the right one, it’s not theory, she’s actually lived it.

At the practice, you’ll find:
🔊 Hearing tests & assessments
🎧 Custom hearing aids, no restriction to one manufacturer, so the fit is about you, not a sales target
🧻 Ear wax removal (microsuction & irrigation)
🔇 Tinnitus support
🛡️ Custom hearing protection
❤️ All provided in a relaxed, unhurried environment, by staff who are Dementia Friends trained.

If your hearing (or someone you love’s) has been on the back burner, we’d love to help you take the next step. Pop into the profile to use the link to book an appointment or send a message, no pressure, just a proper conversation. Check out our website link in our profile to find out more.
