A little Bank Holiday throwback from St Stephen's Care Home! 🌞💜

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, our wonderful residents made the most of the summer weather with ice lollies, tasty treats, fun games and plenty of creativity. Our nautical bingo was a particular favourite, alongside some summer games and aqua painting.

There was also time to get creative with some beach themed artwork, with everyone putting their own spin on their paintings. A lovely way to spend the Bank Holiday together! 🎨💜

A little science and creativity came together at St Stephen's Care Home for National Photography Day! 📸🌿

Our wonderful residents had a go at cyanography, using leaves, seed heads and flower heads collected from nature to create their own artwork. They enjoyed experimenting with the technique and were fascinated to see how their creations turned out.

A lovely activity that gave everyone the chance to get creative and try something a little different 💜

We couldn’t let International Dog Day pass us by, so we spent some time getting creative together on the 26th 🐶💜

Our residents enjoyed a relaxed arts and crafts session, making lovely cards, trying their hand at aqua painting, and adding their own colourful touches with paints and pencils. There were plenty of chats about favourite dogs over the years, which made it all the more special

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy there, St Stephen's Care Home had some very special visitors!

Our wonderful residents always enjoy seeing the children from our local nursery, and this time we had a pirate themed afternoon. There was singing, dancing, storytelling and plenty of playing together, with our residents and their little visitors getting right into the spirit of the day 💜

We love seeing the two generations spending time together, and we think our little pirates might have to come back for another adventure soon! 🏴‍☠️

🐘 We had a bit of elephant themed fun at St Stephen's Care Home to mark World Elephant Day!

Our residents enjoyed working their way through a variety of elephant jigsaw puzzles, followed by some funny and playful games that had everyone getting involved. It was a lovely excuse to try something a little different and spend some time together 💜

A big thank you to our team for putting it all together. We certainly had a trunk load of fun! 🐘

International Cat Day was a lovely one at St Stephen's Care Home ! 🐱💜

Many of our wonderful residents have fond memories of cats they have loved over the years, so it was a lovely opportunity to reminisce while getting involved in some cat themed activities. We enjoyed arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles and making cards together.

There were some lovely conversations about favourite pets along the way, with plenty of stories being shared about the cats who have been part of our residents’ lives 🐾

Our wonderful residents at St Stephen's Care Home have been enjoying the fruits of their labours in the garden! 🌿🍅

We harvested some lovely lavender and tomatoes, with plans to turn the lavender into scented bags to give as gifts, sell at our next plant sale and bring its lovely scent into the home. Our residents also planted some hardy, drought tolerant flowers to add a splash of colour to the garden 🌸

It is lovely seeing the garden develop and knowing our residents have had a hand in it along the way 💜

🦋 A little bit of nature's magic at St Stephen's Care Home !

Our wonderful residents have loved watching tiny caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies in our butterfly garden basket. We were even lucky enough to discover caterpillars on the plants we had grown in our own garden, making the experience even more special.

The butterflies inspired our creative side too, with residents enjoying butterfly themed painting, printing and colouring. It has been wonderful to see nature spark so much creativity and conversation 💜

🥇 Going for gold at St Stephen's Care Home !

Inspired by the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games , our wonderful residents have been getting into the sporting spirit with some fun games and a little friendly competition of their own.

There were plenty of cheers, smiles and determined efforts as everyone took part in the challenge to win their very own golden medals. It was wonderful to see our residents getting active, having fun and enjoying the moment together 💜
