Doorstep walks today after a little brunch date. There’s nothing quite like retracing my steps to find my mobile phone which escaped the jean pocket enjoying the view without me. 🫣🤣

I did see some cute small blue butterflies (on the red conservation list apparently) 🦋 and a few walking paths for future exploration.

Even though today was about the ‘adulting’ i.e waiting in for the gas man kinda day, I was determined to get my 5-9 adventures on my day off…

So I met my swim bud for an early dip at the local llyn where we watched half a rainbow on the nearby mountainside, and we swam head on into the wind laughing as the water hit our faces.

And this evening, I took a little womble around Chirk castle to collect blackberries. I’m amazed how fat and juicy they are considering the lack of rain! I found one of my favourite benches to sit and watch the cows cuddle one another and I thought about my Bel bounding in these fields like she did for many years, carefree and loving life.

A little mole scurried past me and into the Jurassic sized ferns… 🫶

Home to a slow cooked chilli, and feeling grateful for these precious moments and glad it’s cooled down.

One of my favourite things isn’t teaching paddle boarding, it’s watching women discover what they’re capable of.

I’m not the instructor who focuses on technique and performance. There’s some fantastic people I can recommend for that. Instead I’ll give you what you need to stay safe, and then I’ll invite you to get curious.

How does your body want to move? What happens if you trust it? What changes when you stop trying to get it ‘perfect’?

Because confidence isn’t something anyone can give you. It’s a muscle you build by doing the thing, your fear tells you to avoid.

For so many women, confidence can quietly shrink and fear can grow loudly. The experience is so much bigger than sitting, kneeling or maybe standing on a paddle board.

It’s about remembering that your body still knows how to learn, adapt, and surprise you. 🫶

Thank you Jooles ( Wild Women Gather) for a beautiful morning. 🙏

Today I'm planning my 1-to-1 and 1-to-2 SUP lessons for the next few months, and I'll be adding new dates to my website very soon. Thanks to everyone who’s booked so far.

In the meantime, here's a throwback to one of my favourite goofy SUP photos from when I was first learning to paddleboard all those years ago... I’m still this goofy. 😂

And if you look closely, you'll see my buoyancy aid is a very poor fit! 😅

A buoyancy aid that isn't fitted correctly won't do you any favours if you end up in the water. Instead of staying securely in place, it can ride up over your head, making it much harder to climb back onto your board.

It's a great reminder that wearing a buoyancy aid is only part of the story—making sure it fits properly is just as important.

It’s one of the things we’ll talk about on a lesson.

I’ve had such a wonderful day.

Today was my last Yogalates class and Chair Yoga class (Fridays at 10am, & 12.30pm Oswestry) until September. It’s been an absolute joy teaching and practising outdoors on the mat over the summer.

Afterwards, I sat in peaceful silence at The Beech Tree, people-watching while drinking an excellent latte, savouring a slice of date and walnut loaf.

I also treated myself to the sweetest little oil painting by a local artist currently exhibiting at Oswestry Library. Sunflowers are my favourite flowers!

Then I spent a blissful hour in the park, beginning a new library book whilst listening to the House Martins overhead, before teaching my final class of the day.

Days like these are good for the soul. And it’s been the first day in quite some time that I’ve not felt anxious or heavy. 🙏

This year is all about putting down roots both personally and professionally and creating as much ease as possible in my day-to-day life.

One of those roots has been finding a permanent home for my massage therapy. My spine will definitely thank me for no longer carrying my kit up and down endless flights of stairs!

I'm so grateful to have found two beautiful treatment rooms (Medicine Garden + The Verve in Llangollen) where I can now settle in and welcome clients. ❌This also means I will be ceasing mobile massage.

Having a space to call home also means I can focus on what's next. I'm excited to continue my training in assisted stretching and Thai yoga massage, knowing I have a dedicated place to grow my skills.

Here's to new beginnings, continued learning, and helping more people feel their best. 💚
