We train teachers we would want to hire - and would be proud to recommend.

That means knowing the Classical Pilates system and learning to see the person in front of you, make good decisions and adapt.

Whether teaching one-to-one or a room full of different bodies, we want our graduates to feel prepared to teach the people who actually turn up.

Pilates isn’t particularly “girly”?

Poor Joe Pilates… I don’t think he’d have loved the “Pilates Princess” marketing. He developed a challenging, full-body exercise system with very little fuss or frills about it.

I know Pilates is often marketed as being great for the pelvic floor - it is - but that’s a benefit of the method, not its sole purpose. And, by the way… men have pelvic floors too.

We could just as easily market Pilates as being great for upper body strength, stronger legs, better mobility, improved posture or better balance.

The truth is, Pilates is for everybody.

It’s a complete movement system designed to build strength, improve mobility, develop control and help your body move better. Then, within that system, we can tailor the work to what you need.

No special men’s classes required 😉

“Do you get bored repeating the same exercises?”

Honestly… if you were just repeating the same thing over and over, it probably would get boring.

But that’s not what we’re doing.

Every repetition gives you more information:

You notice something you didn’t notice before.
You make a new connection.
You break an old habit.
You move with a little more ease.

Every exercise prepares you to get more out of the next one. That’s how the Pilates Method builds.

When you’re moving with awareness, no two practices are ever the same. I often think back to something Rachel Taylor Segel said back when I did my Classical training:

“They’re not repetitions, they’re evolutions.”

Because the goal isn’t to repeat an exercise. It’s to evolve the way you move.

Join us this Sunday for our first Pilates Centre Community Class ❤️ The first of many to come I hope!

This mixed-level Mat class is open to everyone in our Pilates Centre community. If you’d like to bring a friend who’s never been to the studio - email us and we’ll organise that as a free gift from you to them 🎁

We’ll move together and enjoy practising some Pilates. If an exercise isn’t right for you on the day, just skip it and repeat the previous one - there’s no pressure to do everything.

After class, stay for a tea or coffee and a chat. It’s a chance to meet other members of our little Pilates community and spend a some time together outside the usual class schedule.

Free for everyone on our Summer Practice Programme, outside of that it’s €10.

We’d love to see you there. ❤️

The goal of the Pilates Method was to restore the body.

To move with strength instead of strain.
With control instead of chaos.
With balance instead of compensation.

“Normal health” for Joseph Pilates wasn’t about how hard you could push yourself. His exercise method is about developing a body that moves with ease, efficiency and control - one that allows you to push yourself in your sport, your work, or the activities you love outside of Pilates, if that’s your goal.
