Shannonside Community Centre wishes to acknowledge and sincerely thank Galway County Council for the funding of €1,600 awarded under the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2026.

The funding has contributed towards the supply and installation of a changeover switch at Shragh Community Centre, a designated Community Support Centre.

We greatly appreciate Galway Council’s support which helps us maintain and improve our community facilities and ensures that Shragh Community Centre can continue to serve the needs of the local community.

As it was 1st night of the new season a mark of respect was held for Card players passed during the summer. We honoured the sad passing of Paddy Hooban ( Ballinakill ) , Tommy Goonan ( Abbey ) and Thomas Coughlan ( Clonmoylan ) .
