A tired body does not always mean a settled mind.

Many people reach the end of the day physically exhausted, only to find their thoughts getting louder at night. The mind replays what was said, what was missed, what might go wrong, what needs to be fixed tomorrow.

Sometimes this is not about productivity. It is about emotional overload that never got a place to land.

Through a Transactional Analysis lens, the Adult state may be trying to organise reality. But underneath that, another part of you may be asking for reassurance, safety or permission to stop.

You do not have to solve your entire life before sleeping.

If your nights have become the place where the day finally catches up with you, counselling can help you understand what your mind is carrying.

You don’t need to call this “anxiety” for it to be exhausting.

Sometimes it looks like rereading a message five times. Sometimes it looks like adding one more sentence so no one misunderstands you. Sometimes it looks like apologising before anyone has even objected.

For many people, workplace anxiety does not begin in the meeting. It begins after, when the mind starts preparing for criticism that has not happened yet.

Through a Transactional Analysis lens, this may be an Adapted Child response trying to stay safe by becoming excessively careful, agreeable or defensible.
Your Adult state does not need to prove your worth in every message. It asks: what information is actually needed here?

If work communication repeatedly leaves you anxious, counselling can help you understand the pattern and respond with more steadiness.

: Self-Doubt. Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “That sounds too risky. Maybe I should just drop the idea”?
It could be something at work, a change you’ve been considering in your personal life, a difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding, or simply something you’ve always wanted to try.

Self-Doubt is often the key driver of such thoughts and resultant inaction.

Here’s Shweta Alageri, Life Coach sharing some insights on how self-doubt restrains us and how we can recognise this in order to break free.

: What the Sand knew before me - A Therapist’s journey through fatigue and burnout.
“As therapists, we learn to recognise distress.
But sometimes, despite all that knowledge, we fail to recognise what is happening within us.”

Click to read this article by Mina Dilip, Psychologist and Play Therapist, who shares her own experience of fatigue and burnout and how she worked on it using Sand Tray Play.

Sand Tray Therapy can have an amazing effect while working on our emotional issues. Here's an article by a Therapist on her own experience.

Early help does not always begin with a dramatic event.
Sometimes it begins with a feeling you cannot fully explain. You are completing your responsibilities, speaking to friends and continuing with everyday life but something still feels unsettled.

Perhaps you are becoming more irritable. Perhaps a familiar situation is affecting you more than it used to. Perhaps you keep repeating a pattern you understand intellectually but cannot seem to change.

Friends and family can offer love, familiarity and perspective. A mental health professional offers a different kind of space: one that is structured, confidential and focused on helping you understand your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and goals.

Loneliness within a marriage can be difficult to admit because it appears to contradict the relationship.

Your partner may be loving. The marriage may be functional. You may share responsibilities, plans and an entire life. Yet you may still feel emotionally alone.

This does not automatically mean you chose the wrong person or that the relationship must end. It may mean that a need has remained unspoken, repeatedly missed or buried beneath familiar ways of communicating.

Before asking, “Is this a bad marriage?” it may be more useful to ask, “What does this loneliness appear to be asking for?”

Perhaps it is asking for emotional presence, affection, shared responsibility, curiosity or a conversation in which neither person has to win.

Individual or couples counselling can offer space to understand the experience without immediately blaming yourself, your partner or the marriage.

You may have built a career, friendships, financial independence and a life you genuinely value. Yet one family conversation about marriage can make all of that feel temporarily invisible.

In many families, questions about marriage are presented as concern. The concern may be real, but its expression can still become intrusive, critical or emotionally overwhelming.

Through a Transactional Analysis lens, the parental Critical Parent may speak through rules, warnings and comparisons: “You are running out of time,” “Do not be too choosy,” or “Think about what people will say.” The adult receiving these messages may slip into an Adapted Child response, defending every decision, feeling guilty or wondering whether they are failing at life.

Returning to the Adult ego state means separating facts from fear. It means acknowledging another person’s concern without surrendering the right to make your own decision.

You do not have to be against marriage to be against being pressured into it.

Counselling can provide a space to understand the emotional impact of these conversations, strengthen boundaries and hear your own voice more clearly.
