Psychology research shows that when our self-worth depends entirely on how others treat us, our emotions become more unstable.

One healthy way to reduce emotional dependence is to build self-validation:
• notice your own efforts
• speak to yourself kindly
• maintain hobbies, goals, and relationships outside one person
• learn to regulate emotions before seeking reassurance

Healthy connection is important.
But your peace shouldn’t disappear every time someone changes their mood toward you.

What helps you feel grounded within yourself?

Our boss told us to work collaboratively as a team…
So we collaboratively looked at food menus together for lunch.🍗 😂

But honestly, moments like this matter too.
Shared breaks, laughter, and small conversations are part of what helps teams feel connected, safe, and supported at work.

Sometimes therapy feels like grieving versions of yourself that never got the love, safety, or understanding they needed.

And sometimes, it feels like finally meeting yourself for the first time.

Healing is complicated. But you deserve the space for it.

What has therapy taught you lately?

This is genuinely who we are behind the therapy rooms. 🤍

At The Inner Lynk, we believe the people holding space for others deserve to be cared for too. Mental health days are encouraged here because burnout should never be worn like a badge of honour.

Over the years, many beautiful people have crossed paths with us. Some stayed, some continued their journey elsewhere, but every person left a piece of themselves within this space.

If you are looking for a team that values not only your work, but also your wellbeing, your growth, your humanity, and the life you live outside of your career maybe this is the place for you.

To future interns, trainees, associates, and therapists: if our values resonate with yours, our doors and hearts are open to journey with you. 🤍

Interning at The Inner Lynk is basically assisting the team, helping out behind the scenes, running around doing intern things… and then hearing:

Staff: “Can we get Starbucks?”
Boss: “Okay.”

Honestly, the real internship experience here is learning, supporting the team, laughing through the busy days, and getting accidentally spoiled by the boss once in a while.

Sometimes healing is less about controlling everything… and more about letting yourself breathe and go where the wind takes you 🍃

When your nervous system has been stuck in survival mode for too long, even rest can feel unfamiliar. That’s why creating a safe space to slow down and reconnect matters 🤍

At The Inner Lynk, we’re here to support you through that journey.

Sometimes being a therapist means becoming the bridge between where someone is emotionally… and where healing can begin.

A space where people can feel seen, understood, and safe enough to slowly reconnect with themselves again 🤍

Proud to be part of TikTok’s campaign ✨

Our Managing Director, Gia was invited as a panellist for a meaningful discussion surrounding teenagers, digital safety, online communities, and navigating social media mindfully in today’s fast-changing digital landscape.

The session also highlighted TikTok’s new Family Sharing features and how they can encourage safer, healthier, and more connected digital experiences between teens and parents.

Thank you Tatler and TikTok for the invitation and for creating space for conversations that matter. 💙

Your brain on suppression vs. your brain on openness. 🧠💬

When you bottle up heavy feelings like anger, grief, or anxiety, your brain treats them as active, unresolved threats. This keeps your stress hormones high, leaving you feeling constantly overwhelmed, reactive, or completely numb.

But look what happens when we practice emotional openness:
The exact moment you name what you are feeling and talk about it, your brain shifts processing from the reactive emotional center to the logical prefrontal cortex. You literally calm your own nervous system just by giving your feelings a voice. 🗣️❤️

Your emotions need to be processed, not put into storage.

Save this post as a reminder to check in with yourself today, and share it with someone who needs to hear this.

Millennials and Gen Z are not “too sensitive” for going to therapy.

We’re just the generations becoming aware that survival mode, unhealed trauma, and emotional neglect should not be normalised anymore.

Healing is important because someone has to break the cycle. 🤍
