How amazing is this if you’re having trouble getting into your own GP. There are charges for adult appointments similar to standard GP appointments. But a great alternative when needed.

Online GP care is now free for all children under 14.

With winter illnesses increasing, health services are experiencing high demand. If you need to speak with a GP and can't get an appointment with your regular doctor, or need care after hours, Online GP is a convenient way to access safe, quality healthcare.

Available nationwide 24/7, Online GP appointments are usually conducted by video call or phone. The service can also prescribe medication and send prescriptions directly to your nearest pharmacy.

Remembering Dolly Parton. 💛

For many people living with endometriosis, Dolly’s story may be remembered for something beyond her extraordinary career in music and entertainment.

Dolly spoke openly about her experience with endometriosis at a time when the condition was rarely discussed publicly. She described years of severe pelvic pain and heavy bleeding, alongside the emotional impact of fertility struggles.

For those who have experienced endometriosis, these parts of her story may feel especially familiar. For many years, painful and debilitating symptoms were dismissed as simply part of being a woman, leaving countless people without answers or understanding.

Dolly was willing to talk about something deeply personal, at a time when conversations around women’s health and endometriosis were very different from those we have today.

We remember her with gratitude for sharing her story, and with our thoughts with everyone who loved her.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🌻

🌸 PERIODS — LET’S TALK ABOUT THEM! 🌸

We’re bringing The Period Project to Health Down South for four special evening sessions designed to help girls feel confident, informed and much less awkward about their periods.

Whether your daughter is just starting to think about periods, has recently started, or is well and truly navigating them — there’s a session for her. 💕

Each session is $50 and includes a ticket for a mum + daughter. And mums, you absolutely don’t have to come with just your own daughter — bring a gaggle of girls if you like! 👯‍♀️

✨ Wednesday 2 September | 6.30–8pm
POSITIVE PERIODS
For Year 5–7 girls
A positive, practical introduction to periods and what to expect.

✨ Wednesday 9 September | 6.30–8pm
POSITIVE PERIODS
For Year 8–10 girls who HAVEN’T started their periods yet
Everything they need to know before their first period — without the awkwardness!

✨ Wednesday 16 September | 6.30–8pm
NAVIGATING PERIODS
For Year 8–10 girls who HAVE started their periods
Because knowing what a period is and actually navigating one are two very different things!

✨ Wednesday 23 September | 6.30–8pm
BETTER PERIODS
For Year 11–13+ girls
A chance to understand their periods better, troubleshoot the not-so-great bits and feel more confident managing their menstrual health into their adult years.

💗 $50 per session — includes mum + daughter
👯‍♀️ Bring a group of girls if you’d like

Kia Ora whanau,

We’re putting the call out for more donor breast milk. Wee surrogate bubba is almost 8wks old. For 6 of those weeks she’s been exclusively breastfed thanks to the incredibly generous people who donated last time and her surrogate who continued to pump and donate.

If anyone has a stash of breastmilk in the freezer (any age) that their own baby isn’t requiring or anyone who wishes to supply breastmilk please get in touch via this post or dm or email [email protected]

Any amount is greatly appreciated. We can arrange collection or it can be dropped to Health Down South or we can arrange a drop off point in Gore.

Thank you enormously for your support of this wee family already and any additional support you’re able to offer xx
