🌸 KNOW WHAT’S NORMAL FOR YOUR BODY 💜
September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a timely reminder of two important things:
👉 More than 1,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer in New Zealand each year
👉 No change or symptom is too personal or “embarrassing” to talk about with your doctor or nurse
Please don’t put off talking to our team if you experience:
+ Unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge
+ Persistent bloating
+ Abdominal or pelvic pain
+ Changes in bladder or bowel habits
+ Pain during s*x
Most of these symptoms are caused by something other than cancer. But if a symptom is unusual for you, doesn’t go away or gets worse, it’s always worth having it checked. Early detection saves lives.
