Meet Dylan

Dylan is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Wanaka Physio with a passion for helping people get back to doing what they love. He has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, including running injuries, snow sports, rugby, golf, and strength and conditioning-based rehabilitation. As Wanaka Physio’s dedicated physiotherapist for the Mount Aspiring College First XV, he helps players recover from injury and return to sport with confidence.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Dylan trail running, mountain biking, snowboarding, golfing, or exploring the mountains. His passion for an active lifestyle gives him firsthand insight into the demands of sport, and he loves helping people stay active and perform at their best. You can book an appointment online or phone the clinic and the friendly reception team will help you out.

Pretty special night for our snow sports community.

Over 300 people packed into Wānaka on Friday night to celebrate an incredible season, with Olympians, Paralympians, World Champions and the next generation all under one roof.

We loved being part of it, with The Wānaka Physio Panel taking to the stage alongside Ed Leigh.

Plenty of stories, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of Wānaka pride. A brilliant reminder that it really does take a village.

Team Work 👋 Meet Kate

When she’s not at Wanaka Physio, you’ll usually find Kate out exploring the tracks around Hāwea and Wānaka, rain, shine or ice. She’s never one to miss a daily walk.

As one of our friendly front desk team, Kate is one of the people who keeps the clinic running smoothly. Whether she’s welcoming you through the door, helping you find the right physio, booking appointments, or making sure you’re looked after from the moment you arrive, she’s always happy to help with a smile.

Outside of work, Kate is passionate about strength training and is always chasing her next deadlift PB. Fuelled by good coffee, she also loves getting lost in a great book or settling in for a good movie.

If you see Kate out on the trails, be sure to say hi!

This morning Wanaka Physio, alongside Cardrona Alpine Resort and Snow Sports NZ had Aidan, Dylan, Ellis and Thomas leading an injury prevention warm up for around 30 coaches from Cardrona and Treble Cone.

The 15 to 20 minute warm up gives coaches the knowledge to take this training back to their athletes and make it part of every day on snow.

Research across sports like soccer, netball and rugby has shown that completing a structured injury prevention programme at least two times per week can reduce lower limb injuries by up to 40 percent. Using this evidence, Snow Sports NZ has developed a programme to target the unique demands of skiing and snowboarding, including jumping, landing, balance and control.

We are proud to work alongside Cardrona Alpine Resort and Snow Sports NZ to support injury prevention and help athletes spend more time doing what they love on the snow.

Welcome back, Kerry!

After some well-earned time away recovering from an ankle injury, a trip home to Scotland for a family wedding, and an unforgettable biking adventure through Italy, Kerry is back where she loves to be, helping our patients.

She has also recently graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Advanced Musculoskeletal Practice) after 2.5 years of dedicated study. What an incredible achievement.

Having recently been through her own rehabilitation journey, Kerry understands firsthand how frustrating an injury can be and just how important the right treatment and rehabilitation are for getting you back to doing what you love.

Kerry is experienced in treating a wide range of injuries, including concussion and vestibular conditions, and is passionate about helping people recover with confidence.

Now that both legs are working again, she’s looking forward to making the most of winter with plenty of ski touring and hunting adventures.

It’s great to have you back Kerry, join us in congratulating Kerry on her graduation and welcoming her back!

Epic Saturday night at the NZ Mountain Film & Book Festival.

What an incredible evening of mountain stories, adventure and inspiration with French alpinist and filmmaker Sébastien Montaz-Rosset.

From some of the world’s most remote and vertical places to the power of storytelling on the big screen, it was a night that captured everything we love about the mountains, challenge, resilience, connection and adventure.

A packed house, great energy, and an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.

Wānaka Physiotherapy is a proud supporter of events that bring our mountain community together and celebrate the people who inspire us to keep exploring.
Thanks to for the amazing photos.
