Mother Nature truly cooperated when Brookdale Altamonte Springs residents took a trip to New Smyrna Beach this week! The result? Fun in the sun was the order of the day, including a great picnic, friendly game of dominoes, a few rounds of Bocce Ball, relishing the salt air, bird watching, relaxing in the sun ~ and more! Shabbat Shalom! Thanks to Sindi of The Jewish Pavilion for the wonderful Shabbat service and also for sharing the High Holy Days with the residents of Brookdale Altamonte Springs. As always, the service was beautiful, and the rich history, faith and traditions of the High Holy Days, including Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot were deeply meaningful. There was also an opportunity for the residents to create individual edible torahs and sukkahs, adding to the special memories created that afternoon.

What fun the residents of Brookdale Altamonte Springs had this year for Oktoberfest! Besides German b**r, there were soft pretzels, sweets and lots of traditional music provided by Chris Myers, of the German American Society of Central Florida. His music and anecdotes were truly enjoyed by all in attendance. Thanks, Chris, for a most memorable evening! Prost!🍺

It's National Assisted Living Week! Brookdale Altamonte Springs' September "Puttin' on the Glitz" Family Night captured the essence of this year's theme "Shining Through the Years" beautifully! Entertainer Ginger is always shining her brightest, and featured songs from the 1930s to the 1980s with her usual glam, grace and style! Dining Services Director, Khalil, and his team really went above and beyond, and everyone enjoyed the "bubbly", as well! Thanks to all who made the event a stellar success!
