Clinton Stonewall III, a native of Birmingham, Alabama in January of 1989, his junior year of high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy’s Delayed Entry Program. Upon graduation in 1990 and after completion of basic training his service would take him to tours of duty on both the east and west coasts of the United States, the desert of Nevada, and overseas duty in Japan.
With twenty-one years of sea service, he completed deployments and national defense campaigns in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operations Provide Promise, Deny Flight and Sharp Guard, Operations Desert Fox, East Timor and Stabilis, Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
Ervin Funeral Chapel Ervin During his gallant active-duty service, he has obtained qualifications in both the enlisted and officer designations earning qualifications as Aircraft Handling Officer, Launch and Recovery Officer, Flight Control Officer, Air Operations Officer, and Navy Echelon II Staff Officer. His personal awards include the Navy Marine Life Saving Medal (Heroism), Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and several campaign and unit medals. A highly decorated combat veteran with thirty-years of honorable service he retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander and answered his call to ministry.
He is a 2014 graduate of the University of Mayland University College earning a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science and Administration, serving as a Chapline with Maryland Fire Chiefs. He holds a Master of Divinity (Biblical Studies and Apologetics) from Liberty University and the John W. Rawlings School of Divinity Seminary. Currently serving as pastor and teacher at Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Clinton has been married for 36 years to the former Sonya L. Allen, also a native of Birmingham, Alabama and they have three children Chelsea, Clarissa and Clinton.
