That sound your neck makes. Here is what is actually happening. 🔬

When a chiropractor adjusts your cervical spine, you may hear a popping or cracking sound.
Most people assume that is the bone moving. It is actually something called cavitation.

Inside your spinal joints there is fluid. When the joint is gently moved through its range of motion during an adjustment, a small gas bubble is released from that fluid. That release is the sound you hear.

What the adjustment is really doing is restoring proper motion to a joint that has become restricted, reducing nerve interference, and allowing your body to communicate more effectively from your brain to the rest of your body. 🧠

The sound is just a bonus. The results are the real story.
