Thank you for your interest in Hospice of Kimes. We are an interdisciplinary, medically-directed team of professionals whose goals are:
•To provide a safe and comfortable death
•Self-determined life closure for the patient
•Effective grieving for the family and loved ones of the patient

Hospice care is enhanced palliative care specifically for individuals near the end of life whose goals are for

care focused on comfort rather than cure. Our Vision: Hospice of Kimes seeks to be considered the premier provider of end of life care in Athens County and the surrounding areas. Evidence of success will include: patient and family satisfaction with all services provided, clinical outcomes that surpass professional standards, above average success with surveys, and positive financial outcomes. Our Mission: Hospice of Kimes seeks to provide an environment of care where families and friends can have peace of mind that their loved ones are living the last stages of their lives in the most comfortable and dignified means possible.

Poor air quality can affect anyone, but older adults and those with heart or lung conditions are especially vulnerable.

If you or a loved one will be spending time outdoors today:
💙 Limit prolonged outdoor activity
💙 Take frequent breaks
💙 Watch for coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath
💙 Plan outdoor activities for the morning when air quality is typically better

🧦 Help Us Make a Difference—One Pair of Socks at a Time! 💙

Athens Premiere Hospice is proud to be collecting new socks to benefit The Gathering Place, a homeless shelter serving individuals in our community.

A new pair of socks may seem like a small gift, but for someone experiencing homelessness, it can provide comfort, warmth, dignity, and improved health. It’s one of the most requested—and least donated—items at shelters.

We welcome donations of new men’s, women’s, and children’s socks in all sizes.
