Ours was among the first of the Centers of Expertise implemented anywhere in the world for focused treatment of the disease and related gynepathologies; since our founding, we have led the way in integrated, compassionate care. Bowel endometriosis is real but often misunderstood, and misconceptions can contribute to delayed recognition and appropriate treatment. Involvement may occur in different locations and to varying depths, so recognizing the many ways the disease can present is an important part of providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary care - especially the advanced surgical techniques often needed to address it.
