Feeling better is important. But at Frieman Chiropractic, we donβt consider βthe pain is goneβ the end of the story.ππ¦΄
A study followed people with chronic low back pain for a full year after treatment & found that patients who received chiropractic flexion-distraction care were about 30% less likely to seek additional healthcare for their low back pain than those who participated in a physical therapy exercise program.π
That idea of looking beyond immediate relief is a big part of how we approach care at Frieman.
Our patients typically progress through different phases of care:
πΉ Relief Phase: When you're hurting, our first priority is helping address your immediate symptoms.
πΉ Correction Phase: As the pain subsides, the focus shifts toward correcting the underlying problems identified during your examination and helping your body heal.
πΉ Strengthening Phase: Once correction has been established, we work on helping your body become stronger and more stable so those changes have a better chance of lasting.
That's where movement, strength & flexibility become especially important.πͺ
Our office has in-house therapeutic tools & targeted exercises designed around the conditions we treat. They include therapeutic exercise, electrical muscle stimulation and other supportive therapies.
We also perform periodic re-examinations, scans and, when clinically appropriate, imaging to evaluate your progress rather than simply relying on whether you happen to feel better that day. π
The ultimate goal?
We don't want you to need acute care forever.
As patients improve and their correction becomes more stable, the frequency of care may decrease. Some eventually choose periodic maintenance care to help support the progress they've made.
Because getting you out of pain matters. Helping you build the strength, mobility and habits that support your progress afterward matters, too. π
