Parenting is basically a workout no one trains you for. 😅

You’re carrying a toddler on one hip, twisting into the backseat to buckle car seats, bending over cribs, picking toys up off the floor, hauling bags, and somehow carrying a sleeping child who suddenly weighs 60 pounds.

Do that day after day, usually on the same side, and it makes sense that your neck, shoulders, hips, and low back might start feeling it.

Chiropractic care can help keep your joints moving well and support the nervous system as your body keeps up with all the lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching that comes with parenting.

You take care of everyone else all day long.

Don’t forget about the body doing all the work. 💛

Perimenopause can feel like your body suddenly changed the rules.

Sleep changes. Energy shifts. Your cycle gets less predictable. Stress feels harder to handle. And suddenly you’re running hot for no reason. 🔥

As estrogen and progesterone fluctuate, they can affect sleep, mood, focus, energy, temperature regulation, and your stress response.

Movement, strength training, quality nutrition, good sleep, stress management, and appropriate medical care can all help support your body through this transition.

Chiropractic care can also be part of that support by helping with mobility, movement, and healthy nervous system function.

Perimenopause is a whole-body transition. Your body deserves support through it. 💜

Ever have a few really good days, then wake up sore and think, “I’m back to square one”?

One harder day doesn’t automatically erase the progress you’ve made. 🤍

Feeling better is worth celebrating! But depending on what you’re recovering from, rebuilding strength, comfortable movement, and confidence can take a little longer.

Progress might look like getting through your workday more comfortably, picking up your kids with less difficulty, or getting back to an activity you’ve been avoiding. It’s not always just a number on a pain scale.

That’s why we want to hear more than “Does it still hurt?” We want to know what’s getting easier, what’s still challenging, and how you’re feeling between visits so we can adjust your plan as you go.

Recovery doesn’t follow a perfect schedule. Keep celebrating the small wins, and let us know about new or worsening symptoms so we can reassess.

The goal is to help you feel and move better while building confidence in what your body can do.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans whose courage was seen in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the families whose lives were forever changed, the heroes who ran toward danger to help others, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

May we continue to carry their stories with us and never forget the lives, sacrifice, and courage of that day. 🇺🇸

We will never forget.

Their teacher says they had a great day, but the second they get home, everything falls apart. Sound familiar?

Even a simple “How was your day?” can feel like too much when they’re tired, hungry, and just done.

Think about everything they’ve managed all day. Learning, listening, following directions, navigating friendships, and moving from one activity to the next. That’s a lot for a little person!

Sometimes they need a little breathing room before jumping into homework, questions, and the evening routine.

A snack, some quiet time, a hug, or a chance to play outside can be a simple place to start. You don’t have to figure out the whole day the second they walk through the door.

Swipe through for a closer look at those after-school meltdowns and a few ways to make the transition home a little easier for everyone. 🤍

Anyone else catch themselves clenching their jaw when they’re stressed? Sometimes you don’t even notice until it starts to feel sore.

Your jaw doesn’t work alone. The joints just in front of your ears, called your TMJs, work with surrounding muscles every time you talk, chew, or yawn.

Jaw discomfort can also show up alongside headaches, neck pain, or tightness first thing in the morning. Stress and teeth grinding can add to that tension.

That’s why, when you tell us about jaw discomfort, we also ask about your neck, daily habits, and when you notice it most. Those details help us understand what’s going on and whether another provider, like your dentist, should be involved.

A little clicking without pain is common and doesn’t necessarily need treatment. But pain, locking, or trouble chewing deserves a closer look.

You don’t have to brush it off or just keep pushing through. Let’s talk about it at your next visit. 🤍

If your child has struggled with recurring ear infections, you probably know the routine all too well. 👂🏼

They’re uncomfortable, sleep is disrupted, you make another trip to the pediatrician, and just when you think you’re finally past it, another one starts.

Children are more prone to ear infections because their Eustachian tubes are shorter and more horizontal than an adult’s. This can make it easier for fluid to collect and harder for it to drain. As they grow, the tubes become longer and more angled, which is one reason ear infections often happen less frequently with age.

While they’re little, congestion, inflammation, muscle tension, and movement through the upper neck can all affect how this area functions.

Chiropractic care does not treat ear infections, but it can help support your child’s overall function. We use gentle, age-appropriate adjustments to address areas of tension or restricted movement and support the nervous system as their body works to heal and adapt.

If your family feels stuck in the same cycle, it may be helpful to take a step back and look at the whole picture, not just the ear itself. 🤍

Labor Day is all about celebrating hard work, but here’s your reminder that rest and recovery matter too. 🇺🇸

Our bodies are capable of handling a lot. Long workdays, busy schedules, workouts, chasing kids, and everyday stress. The problem comes when we keep asking more of our bodies without giving them enough time to recover.

Recovery doesn’t have to mean doing absolutely nothing. It can look like getting enough sleep, moving your body, eating nourishing foods, spending time outside, connecting with people you love, and making space to slow down.

Chiropractic care can also support your body’s ability to adapt to the physical and emotional stress that comes with everyday life.

Whether you’re spending today at a backyard barbecue, with family, or doing absolutely nothing, we hope you enjoy it. You work hard, and your body deserves time to recover too. ❤️🤍💙

Happy Labor Day!

If you’ve ever finally gotten the kids to bed and thought, “I should probably go to sleep too,” and then somehow stayed up another hour scrolling, this is for you.

Sleep is when your brain and body get a chance to reset, recover and prepare for the next day.

While you’re sleeping, your body is busy:

Processing information and forming memories

Recovering from the physical stress of the day

Clearing metabolic waste from the brain

Supporting your immune system

Helping regulate hormones involved in stress, appetite, growth and energy

And your nervous system helps coordinate all of it.

That’s one of the reasons sleep matters so much for how you feel and function.

Of course, getting perfect sleep every night is not always realistic, especially with babies, kids, work and everything else life throws at you.

But when you can, giving your body the chance to truly rest and recover matters. 🤍

Your body does some of its most important work while you’re doing absolutely nothing.

Feeling stressed? Your breath can change the way your body responds in seconds.

Try this right now.

Take a slow breath in.

Then take an even slower breath out.

That longer exhale helps your body shift toward a calmer, more relaxed state.

Your breathing, heart rate, brain and nervous system are constantly communicating with each other, and the vagus nerve plays a big role in that connection.

It’s also why we talk so much about the nervous system in our office.

Our bodies aren’t meant to stay in “go mode” all day long. We need to be able to move between stress and recovery depending on what life is asking of us.

So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, tense, or just need a minute, slow down your breathing, make that exhale a little longer, and give your nervous system a chance to settle.

Sometimes the simplest things really can make a difference. 🤍
