Mr. James Lewis Hurt was born on June 21, 1947, in Bedford, Virginia, to the late James C. Hurt and Lucille C. Hurt. On August 6, 2026, our beloved James Lewis Hurt transitioned from his earthly home to his Heavenly home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, August 12th at New Zion Baptist Church, 3725 Shingle Block Rd. Bedford, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
