Today is 🚑 🧑‍🚒 ⛑️

Your courage, sacrifice, and steady presence make us safer, and you're often there in the worst moments of someone's life. We’re proud to work alongside you, because the work of building better communities is something we do together.

To the first responders who show up when it matters most: we’re in this together, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for all that you do, today and every day.

Recovery isn't always a straight line. And that's okay. In Colorado, 432 patients returned to care at a CMS clinic in 2025. When they were ready, they knew who to trust.

That matters - No judgment. No starting over from zero. Just a team that's still there, ready to meet people where they are.

🏆 Please join us in congratulating Desiree Auge, Community Impact Manager in Southern Arizona, on receiving the 2026 Dr. Lenn Ditmanson Humanitarian Award!

By openly sharing her own story of recovery, Desi shows that lived experience is a strength and helps break down stigma. She shows up each week everywhere from tent encampments to county boardrooms, re-entry programs to community meetings providing education on MOUD and overdose awareness - Desi meets every person she meets with dignity and without judgment.

Desi, you are the embodiment of our mission. We’re so proud of you and grateful for everything you do for our Tucson community 💜🙏✨

Federal changes under H.R. 1 (commonly referred to as the “One Big Beautiful Bill”) are reshaping Medicaid renewal timelines and introducing new community engagement requirements — with significant variation by state. It's important for those on Medicaid, and for those working with anyone using Medicaid, to understand these distinctions and to know they are a moving target through 2028.

We’ve put together a plain-language, myth-busting guide for the 13 states we operate in, aimed at helping our clients and staff separate fact from rumor as these policies take effect.

Learn what upcoming Medicaid changes mean, common myths to avoid, state-by-state differences, and steps you can take to help protect your coverage with CMS.

October 10th is 💜✨
Today is an opportunity to meaningfully engage with people with lived experience (PWLE) of mental health conditions and to recognize their knowledge as a vital form of expertise. This year’s campaign calls for their voices to shape the policies, services and decisions that affect their lives.

Let us move from listening to action – and build mental health systems with PWLE, not merely for them. And let us all take some time today to care for our own mental health. Pause. Breathe. Check in on a loved one.

Numbers don’t usually tell a story about hope. Ours do.
Our CEO Nick Stavros breaks down what our 2025 Patient Outcomes Report reveals about recovery, resilience, and the people we serve. 👇

At the conclusion of every year, we sit down and ask: did we actually help people this year? The 2025 Patient Outcomes Report helps answer that honestly.

"There's often stigma about saying 'I need help' - people have so much shame, so much guilt. The main message we want to share is that the best thing somebody can do who's struggling with opioids is to enroll in a program that [provides] medications for OUD and have that behavioral health support. When you put those two things together people succeed." - Jason Valderrama, Lead Medical Provider at CMS in Aurora, CO.

Today, we're celebrating Addiction Professionals Day. Behind every person in recovery, there's someone (often more than one!) who didn't give up on them — a counselor who kept showing up, a case manager who found one more resource, a clinician who saw a person instead of a diagnosis. To our team: thank you for being that person, again and again.
