What an incredible day of community, connection, and care at our Spring Community Health Fair. 🌼

From a morning 3K walk/run to a full day of health screenings, wellness resources, and interactive activities, our community came together at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Oxon Hill to prioritize health, education, and prevention at every stage of the journey.

Throughout the day, we held meaningful sessions on cancer awareness and care, men’s health and early detection, restorative yoga for mind-body wellness, and practical nutrition guidance, each one reinforcing the importance of accessible education and preventative care for all.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible speakers and partners who helped make this day possible:
Dr. Wen Liang (University of Maryland Capital Region Health),
Christine Ju (Capital Area Food Bank),
Dr. James A. Dula (Veterans Affairs Office, Office of the County Executive),
and Council Member Edward Burroughs III.

May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, foster connection, and remind those affected by bladder cancer that support matters.

At Hope Connections, our Bladder Cancer Support Group offers a welcoming space for conversation, understanding, and community with others who truly get it.

The next group will meet this Wednesday, May 20 from 6 PM–8 PM.
