Continuous growth through hardship and healing. Welcome to Kaizen House! We are a male sober recovery house located in Biddeford, Maine, founded in 2025.

Our mission is to provide a stable and supportive environment that can help people build the foundation they need to succeed. We are creating a community of individuals, regardless of their background, that support each other in their recovery from alcoholism and addiction. The Gateway Recovery Center is a Level 3.1 residential recovery program for adult men. We help men find hope, rebuild their lives and create a lasting recovery beyond addiction.

The Gateway isn’t the destination, it’s where the journey begins.

Congratulations to AccessDirect Recovery Network for a great softball event tonight! Many of our residents were there, connecting with different resources and enjoying the game… some even hit the field!

AccessDirect is a wonderful organization & is so important to us, both as friends and for the work they do to help those in need find placement in sober living and treatment.

New Hope Alliance Maine Association of Recovery Residences Rise Recovery Portland Treatment and others! So great to see the recovery community come out and support a great cause.

We’re excited to be one of the sponsors this year for AccessDirect Recovery Network ‘s softball fundraiser! Some of our house members are even going to show off their athletic skills on the field!

We have several sponsorship opportunities available for our 6th Annual Recovery Softball BBQ:

We’re excited to see everyone on September 30th, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Teams will be mixed, featuring police, fire personnel, and individuals in recovery.

Over 30 recovery resources will be available for communities, families, and individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Limited sweatshirts will be available at the event.

We were so excited to meet with Rilynn from Coastal Recovery Partners & introduce her to Kaizen House this morning! We love connecting with local businesses and partners in addiction recovery. Working together as a recovery community is how we help the most people!

Partnerships matter.

This morning we met with Adam at Kaizen House in Biddeford for a tour of the house and a great conversation about supporting individuals in recovery.

At Coastal Recovery Partners, we believe no one organization can do it alone. Recovery is strongest when treatment providers, recovery residences, and community partners work together to create a seamless path of support.

Recovery often begins with one safe moment.

A warm meal. A bed. A ride to detox. A conversation with someone who does not give up on you.

Milestone Recovery provides compassionate care for adults experiencing substance use, homelessness, and mental health challenges through outreach, shelter, detox, residential treatment, and housing support.

There is no single path to recovery, but there should always be a way forward.
