Heights Eyecare is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Gracie Von Krosigk to our practice!!

Dr. Von Krosigk is originally from Sheridan, Wyoming. She graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in Physiology before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. During optometry school, she was recognized for her commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, receiving awards from both faculty and externship mentors.

Her clinical education included training across a variety of practice settings, including a Veterans Affairs medical center, private practice and a specialty dry eye clinic. These experiences provided a well-rounded foundation in comprehensive eye care and strengthened her commitment to delivering individualized treatment and building lasting relationships with her patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Von Krosigk enjoys making the most of everything the Mountain West has to offer. Whether she’s spending time outdoors or gathering with family and friends, she values being close to the people and places that mean the most to her.

“My Success Story!”

Before Vision Therapy: My eyes would not work together as a team. It got to the point where I felt that I couldn’t control them. Every time I stayed up later than usual or was busy the whole day, my eye would drift. I would see two of everything and sometimes it was even blurry.

After Vision Therapy: My eyes no longer like to drift off as easily and even if it does happen, I’m able to recognize the feeling and fix it. My reading has improved by a lot, as well as my awareness about what I’m feeling in my eyes.

“My Success Story!”

Before Vision Therapy: Before vision therapy I was having major headaches, to the point I had to lay down in the dark for hours until it passed. Sometimes I would get so dizzy that I would trip, and I was so carsick too. Every time I read, I would either see in two or I would always lose my place.

After Vision Therapy: After vision therapy, my headaches went away and when I did, I didn’t have to lay down. After eye therapy, I never got dizzy again and my grades went up too. Now I don’t get carsick as much as I used to. I also read more and I never see two or lose my place. Now I can cross my eyes easily.

“My Success Story!”

Before Vision Therapy: After my Traumatic Brain Injury, there was a time when reading a simple page felt impossible. The moment my eyes tried to focus a migraine would hit-sharp, immediate, and overwhelming. I had no stamina. Even short periods of visual effort left me exhausted, forcing me to take hour plus naps daily just to attempt to recover. Balance was a constant struggle. I felt unsteady, disoriented, and unsafe in my environment. I’ve had multiple falls and driving was very difficult. Everyday environments felt overwhelming and my world was so much smaller because of it. Daily headaches were my baseline, and weekly migraines disrupted any sense of normal life. It felt like my brain and eyes couldn’t work together.

After Vision Therapy: With the support of Amy and Dr. Rolfstad, time, and work, things began to change. With prism lenses in my glasses and Vision Therapy, reading became more tolerable. Not perfect, but possible. I can read longer without immediate pain. My attention to detail has improved. My spatial awareness has improved. I started noticing things in my environment I used to miss. The constant dizziness and nausea began to fade. Most importantly, I regained stability. I haven’t fallen in a long time. That alone is a victory. Headaches are no longer constant, with the combination of prism glasses, finishing VT and Botox injections, migraines are less frequent and more manageable. I also don’t need the same amount of recovery. The long naps and extended rest periods are no longer a daily necessity. I have more energy, endurance, and confidence. I’m not 100%, but I am miles from where I started. And for the first time, I feel like I’m moving forward instead of trying to just cope. Thank You Amy and Dr. Rolfstad!
