I look forward to my Saturday strength training classes. It’s just a great way to start off your weekend. This week I had to convince myself to go. I knew I needed it but my mind was not wanting it. I talked myself into it and I am happy to say I’m glad I did. It made me feel so much better! This week has been tough with my work schedule and this ole gal is very routine. My routine has been turned upside down and my body is telling me about it.

Have a wonderful weekend! I’m ready to get back to my regularly scheduled program. 😜

What’s your go to date night places in Springfield that are not chain restaurants? We/I always do Black Sheep, Habanero’s, Omo or Jimm’s and Rick said venture out somewhere I’ve never been. Well if I never been there how do I know where to go?? Right?! So hit me with some suggestions. We don’t eat out much either so that’s why our list is small LOL! (Pic for attention 😜)

Very vulnerable and long post for me. Buckle up buttercup.

If you know me for long enough you know I have dieted most of my life. I’ve always been “a big girl”. In 2022 my weight had reached a very unhealthy number. I was depressed and unhappy. My mental health was at its worst. Life got so tough. I was happy on the outside but sad and scared on the inside. I developed crazy anxiety and it was debilitating at times. No matter what I did my weight kept climbing, as well as my anxiety. I talked with my provider and started a glp-1. I lost 120 pounds. I was feeling like life was on the right track. THEN my insurance quit covering it so I went off it cold turkey. Wow was that rebound tough. I gained it all back in less than a year. My mental health spiraled. I didn’t know what I was going to do but I knew I had to do something. I researched and researched and decided to do something I swore I would never do. I had a gastric sleeve procedure in April of 2025. I can say without a doubt it was one of the scariest but best decisions I have made. Since March of 2025 I have lost 159 pounds. My initial goal (not my surgeons) is only 75 pounds away.

I did not take the easy way out. I chose to implement a tool. I have worked so hard to get where I am. I am very proud of where I am headed. I am actually enjoying going to the gym and doing home workouts. I NEVER thought I would enjoy exercise. I have some great cheerleaders and very supportive friends.

The pic has my face blocked out because the crazy hair and stupid look on my face is not what you all need to see 🤣😂 I don’t think this was my heaviest but it was close. I was nipping on the heels of 500 pounds at my heaviest. I still have a long way to go and the path to my goal will be slow but I can see the end of the tunnel. I’m excited for what is to come and excited to take my life back and enjoy the time I have left. Peace and love to you all and thank you for joining me on this journey.

Fundraiser time:

I have a couple of grandkids doing a bake sale and garage sale to earn money to buy a 3D printer. I would love to help them by baking some things and selling them virtually.

Chocolate chip cookies $1/cookie or $11/dozen
Brownies $1/brownie or $11 for a pan
Dairy free cupcakes (chocolate or birthday cake) $1.50/cupcake or $15 per dozen

On call this week and my weird work schedule caused me to miss a few workouts. Thanks to my friend Trish I got a few dumbbells to use at home. I did this workout at home tonight.
