Meet Thomas, a burn survivor who is enjoying life as a father, husband and self-taught pianist after receiving specialized care at Shriners Children's Boston. He sustained an esophageal burn as a young boy, leaving him unable to eat until he received the wraparound care provided by Shriners Children's.

One of his fondest memories was music therapy, which became a source of joy during his recovery. “Many people during hospital stays, including myself, need a distraction, as it’s hard. Shriners Children's Boston is celebrating International Corgi Day by introducing you to one of our pet therapy dogs, Ella and her friend Anamika, a clinical psychology doctoral student at our hospital. 🐶🐾

Anamika loves that Ella provides comfort and joy for many of the pediatric patients who visit Shriners Children's, and witnessing how Ella brings out their playfulness and curiosity! ❤️
