🥾 Hiking Season Checklist from Your PT Team
Before you hit the trails this summer, here are a few PT-approved reminders to help your body keep up with your adventure plans ⛰️☀️
✅ Warm up before starting
✅ Hydrate early and often
✅ Wear supportive, broken-in footwear
✅ Keep backpack weight manageable
✅ Strengthen and prep your hips, knees, ankles, and core
✅ Remember: downhill hiking is often tougher on the body than the climb
✅ Listen to pain signals early instead of pushing through them
✅ Prioritize recovery after longer hikes
