Farmstead Scattering Garden

Farmstead Scattering Garden Farmstead Scattering Garden is a mail-in service to spread the cremated ashes of your loved ones on a working farm in northwestern PA.

Our peaceful farm setting provides a unique opportunity to honor their memory. Our farm is filled with rich stories, a sense of adventure, and a tranquil environment, making it a perfect place to celebrate and remember a life well-lived. Let us help you create a lasting and joyful tribute in harmony with nature. Please visit our web page to start your afterlife farming adventure: https://farmstead

How does it work? You mail in the ashes via USPS (https://faq.usps.com/s/article/Shipping-Cremated-Remains-and-Ashes), and we will scatter them on our farm at the location you designate at the time of order. We also offer various additional options to ensure the process aligns with your wishes. You can select the timing, weather conditions, and scattering experience that best reflect your loved one's spirit and connection to farming. We will post regular photos and information about what is happening on the farm so that you can keep up-to-date with the adventures along with your loved ones. We certainly want to hear from you through messenger, but we do not allow commenting on our posts on purpose. For those who have entrusted us with their loved ones, they come to this page to see what is happening on the farm, and we want them to be able to see that only through their eyes.

There were some crazy winds and thunderstorms north of us last night. There are quite a few without power. One of my work colleagues had a tree crash into his bedroom, but thankfully all were okay. In our little valley, we experienced some lightning and thunder along with some rains, but thankfully nothing out of the ordinary. The dogs had a good time exploring the creek and standing water that normally isn't there!

Last night, the skies were beautiful. John and I ran up on the ATV to check in on the newest calf born earlier in the day. Super cute bull calf. We went home and waited for the rain to arrive!

It’s been a busy few days. Lots of sun is given way to some rain showers. We were very lucky to have our hay baled….some of our neighbors still had hay down….everyone is in that boat sometimes and it stinks. Our local fair starts on Labor Day, so this week is all fair preparation. We also may have a new calf arriving soon!

Here are some photos I took the past few days. The dogs have really been enjoying the creek—but it makes for some muddy pups!
