The CommonSpirit Health Community Health Improvement Grants are now accepting applications from local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to improving community health and promoting health equity. This grant opportunity supports programs focused on the priority health needs identified through our Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA). From now through September 18, 2026, we invite local nonprofits to apply for funds to expand their efforts to deliver vital services that strengthen community well-being.

CommonSpirit St. Thomas More Hospital was proud to be part of Safety Jam in Fremont County, an amazing community event dedicated to keeping families safe and healthy! We truly enjoyed connecting with neighbors and helping kids get fitted with brand new helmets. We distributed 140 helmets, and many more people stopped by to access helpful educational resources throughout the day. Moments like these highlight the importance of proactive safety. Here’s to a safe and fun summer in Canon City!

We’re proud to honor Cameron Wormgoor, RN, at St. Thomas More for receiving the DAISY Award!

Cameron was nominated by a family member who will never forget the compassion he showed. In a moment filled with grief and uncertainty, Cameron stepped in with kindness, empathy, and support. His thoughtful actions and caring presence brought comfort when it was needed most.
