September is Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Awareness Month, which is a common but often overlooked disease affecting the limbs. PAD presents as a blockage of blood flow that occurs somewhere in the body, restricting the peripheral parts of the body (AKA your limbs) from receiving oxygen and nutrients. Time to clear up the confusion around breast screening recommendations!

At Outpatient Radiology, we follow the ACR & SBI’s evidence-based, gold-standard recommendations because we've seen firsthand how early detection saves lives. Their guidelines recommend:
🩷 A breast cancer risk assessment for all women by age 25
🩷 Annual screening mammograms beginning at age 40
🩷 Continued screening beyond age 74 when appropriate

Breast imaging experts know that screening matters, especially regarding when to start, how often to screen, and which supplemental imaging to use and when. These recommendations focus on evidence, patient impact, risk communication, and helping patients make informed decisions regarding their breast health.

Construction began yesterday on 2nd Street between Conwell and Washington, which may impact your route to Outpatient Radiology's MRI Suite inside Banner Wyoming Medical Center. Construction is expected to last through Friday. You will still be able to turn off of 2nd Street onto Conwell or Jackson to access the circular drive and valet. Please follow road signs and detour routes and give yourself time to for alternative parking.

Oriana has been with CMI & OPR for four years, bringing excellent patient care and compassion as our Breast Manager for the HIMS Team! Oriana plays an important role with our Health Information Management team, protecting patients’ privacy while securely exchanging records between other facilities.

After four years with this company, Oriana shares, "I can honestly say that I could not be happier to be part of this organization. I am incredibly grateful for the teammates and mentors who have shared their knowledge, supported my growth, and provided me with opportunities to expand.
