The Longest Day (June 21—the Summer Solstice) is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association annually as a day of awareness. The extra light symbolizes the fight against the darkness of the disease and the endurance of caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s. Meth-Wick residents and staff participated in our Longest Day Walk a little early, on Thursday, June 18. Thanks to everyone who participated and donated to raise awareness and support our Meth-Wick AlzStars Team for the September Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It was a beautiful day for a great cause!
