Happy National Donut Day!!! 🍩 This afternoon, we hosted a donut party and switched the order of dinner and dessert by starting with the sweets. 🍫 With the choices of glazed, chocolate, blueberry, strawberry and frosted, our residents determined you really can’t go wrong with any of them!

In addition to the classic donuts offered, we want to give a huge thank you to our amazing volunteer, Amy, for baking Greek inspired donut holes in honor of this very sweet day and our June “travels” to Greece! 🇬🇷

Our residents asked for a “Taste of Mexico” and that’s what we gave them! 🇲🇽 Inspired by Mexican bakeries and markets, we offered an assortment of baked goods, appetizers, and treats. 🍨

Thank you to our team for putting together such a special celebration of Mexican food and culture and the hard work of making these authentic recipes from scratch!

As we are “traveling” Mexico for the month of May, we hosted a very special party we titled “Fiesta del Sol” in celebration of the sun and the upcoming Summer season! 🌞 We were able to sample some Mexican party staples including authentic tamales, mini chicken tacos and homemade strawberry tres leches cake! 🫔🌮🍰

But the true star of this party, was our piñata designed, decorated and filled by our very own residents the days leading up to our big celebration! 🪅 And just look at all those smiles!!! 🤩 As always, we are so very grateful to host these special events for our community and thank all of our Garnett Place family and friends who took the time to join us! 🤗
