One of the most common questions we hear this time of year is whether laser treatments have to wait until fall or winter.

The answer? It’s not a simple yes or no!

The real question isn’t what month it is. It’s whether your lifestyle allows for the sun precautions needed before and after treatment. While some laser treatments require significant downtime and strict sun avoidance, many can be performed safely during the summer with the right planning and precautions.

If you’re spending every weekend at the pool, heading to the beach, or planning a sunny vacation, it may make sense to wait. But if you’re diligent with sun protection and don’t spend much time outdoors, treatment may still be an option.

Not all lasers are created equal, and the best timing depends on the treatment, your goals, and your schedule.

Our latest blog talks about laser treatments (particularly CO2) and considerations for timing treatment!

With laser resurfacing, timing matters. Dr. Ishii reviews all the considerations for CO2 laser during summer.

Before + After three V-beam treatments to the undereye area with our PA team✨

One of the biggest misconceptions patients have about undereye rejuvenation is that filler is the answer to every concern. While filler can be an excellent tool for the right patient, the undereyes are more complex than they appear.

In this case, redness from visible blood vessels was a major contributor to a tired appearance. By treating the vascular component with V-beam, we were able to significantly improve the discoloration and brighten the undereye area, helping this patient look more refreshed without the use of injectables.

A great reminder that successful undereye treatment starts with understanding why the area looks tired in the first place. Volume loss, pigmentation, vascularity, skin quality, and anatomy can all play a role, which is why a thoughtful assessment is so important.

Goodbye, melasma! ✨

If you struggle with melasma, you know how frustrating and unpredictable it can be. Unfortunately, it is not something we can permanently cure, but rather a condition we manage and control over time.

Melasma is influenced by heat, hormones, inflammation, and sun exposure, which is why some cosmetic treatments can actually make it worse instead of better. This before and after shows progress after five Clear + Brilliant Touch sessions combined with a medical grade skincare regimen.

A great example of how consistency, patience, and a gentle long term plan can pay off!

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy have changed the conversation around weight loss, but many patients are surprised when they also notice increased hair shedding along the way.

The good news? In most cases, this type of hair loss is temporary and often related more to rapid weight loss, nutritional shifts, and physiologic stress on the body than the medication itself.

This has become one of the most common conversations we are having with patients right now. Read our latest blog for a breakdown of why it happens, what to look for, and the strategies we commonly discuss to help support healthy hair growth during the process.

Hair loss expert Dr. Kamrani reviews what patients should understand about Ozempic hair loss and what the treatment options are.

One of our favorite parts of treatment planning is finding ways to combine therapies so they work together in a more meaningful way, especially during the summer months when patients are looking for options with minimal downtime and fewer sun restrictions.☀️

For this patient, we paired a series of microneedling treatments with our Aesthetician team and a V-Beam session with our PA team to address both texture and redness at the same time. Together, these treatments helped improve overall skin texture and brightness while calming persistent redness.

A great example of how thoughtful treatment stacking can create comprehensive results while still being summer friendly!

What an incredible weekend in Nashville for SCALE! Such a fun few days filled with great conversations, inspiring lectures, and quality time with friends and colleagues I always love learning from.

I was honored to give two lectures this year. The first focused on the art of facial assessment and how it shapes thoughtful treatment planning through real world case studies. The second explored how emerging neuromodulators may continue to change the injectable landscape, along with important considerations for both patients and providers.

Dr. Kamrani gave two fantastic lectures, one exploring how GLP 1 receptor agonists may impact adipose derived stem cells and contribute to the phenomenon often referred to as “Ozempic face,” and another discussing how thoughtful, thorough cosmetic consultations help build stronger long term patient relationships.

So many other fun moments off the podium! One highlight was participating in an all-female advisory board with Revance focused on the Science of Longevity and how we can better support women through every stage of aging.

Already looking forward to next year!🤠✨

Fantastic improvement in abdominal skin laxity by Dr. Ishii. This result was achieved with a series of three hyperdilute biostimulator treatments designed to gradually improve crepiness, texture, and overall skin support.

Biostimulators work by encouraging your own collagen production over time, making them an excellent option for areas where the skin has become thinner or less firm. The abdomen is among the most popular areas to treat!

Natural results, minimal downtime.

Treating the perioral area with dermal fillers.✨

By strategically placing small amount of filler, fine lines are filled and support lost over time is reinforced.

Optimal results are seen with 2-3 sessions spaced every 4 weeks.
