began with one therapist, one client and one vision to provide the absolute best care to the children of our community. Today, we have over 70 therapists and serve the greater Charlotte region and all surrounding counties, including York and Lancaster, SC. Our therapists have countless years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in pediatrics. Our services are unique in that we have the capability to travel to our clients. We can provide services in your child’s home, daycare, preschool or school. We also have a clinic in uptown Charlotte if that is more desirable for your schedule and/ or needs. We accept all types of insurance and will file claims on your behalf.

October is National Physical Therapy a month! Physical therapy helps children to overcome gross motor deficits in order to achieve functional independence.
We do this through examination, evaluation and implementation of a wide variety of interventions and supports.

At Milestone Therapy Inc. our Pediatric Physical Therapists support children from infancy through adolescence and collaborate with their families and other medical, educational, developmental, and rehabilitation specialists to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Our therapist goal is to promote independence, increase participation in daily activities, facilitate motor development, improve strength and range of motion, enhance learning opportunities, and get kids back to being kids

Milestone Therapy provides pediatric Occupational , Physical, and Speech Therapy to children ages birth to 21 years of age.

Our therapists travel to our client’s homes, preschools, and daycare centers throughout the Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham and Wilmington areas of North Carolina.

Have you noticed your child walking on their toes? If a child is walking on their toes after 6 months from taking first independent steps, a PT evaluation might be warranted!

Seek a PT evaluation if you notice any of the following:
-Walking or standing up on toes on 1 or both feet.
-Walking on toes only when barefoot or only when in shoes.
-Child tripping and falling frequently
-Balance concerns such as difficulty standing still, difficulty standing on 1 leg, difficulty on stairs or playground equipment
-Other changes to child’s walking pattern such as pointing toes out or knees hyperextending.

Just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean the planning for partnership with Meck PreK stops!! Last week Rachel and Lauren were at a Meck PreK screening event along with staff from Headway ABA! Getting your child screened and treatment with different therapies while in PreK is an amazing way to set them up for success when they transition to Kindergarten!
