Summer is officially here, and we have an incredible lineup of events to celebrate the season at The Manor House Independent Living at Branchlands.

During their annual luncheon, Branchlands residents remembered those men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country while serving in the armed forces. We are forever grateful to those who have served.

As the days get warmer, it's a great time for older adults to keep summer safety top of mind. Staying cool and hydrated can make all the difference! Here are a few simple reminders to make sure you beat the heat:

🫗Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you aren't active
🌞Choose lightweight, loose clothing to stay comfortable
🍉Snack on fruits and vegetables that are high in water content, like watermelon and cucumber
🚿Take cool showers to lower your body temperature

Here at Branchlands, May is full of celebrations like , honoring all the special moms in our lives. We also enjoyed celebrating May birthdays. 🎂

It’s been a whirlwind of activity at Memory Care at Linden House! So far this May, our residents have enjoyed a festive Cinco de Mayo fiesta, a nature walk, and our weekly gardening club. It’s been wonderful watching everyone enjoy the spring weather.

The excitement continues with upcoming trips to Chiles Orchard, a milkshake social, and a scenic drive. Check out our monthly calendar for the full itinerary. 💐

The Branchlands crew was off to the races this past weekend!

A cherished Branchlands tradition, there’s nothing quite like gathering for our annual Run for the Roses party together in celebration of the Kentucky Derby.

From the delicious drinks and funky hats to live music and quality time shared with friends and family, this year’s Derby Day was everything we could’ve hoped for and more!
