Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone as we congratulate Tim Posey on his retirement after 26 years of dedicated service to Hickory Valley Retirement.

Over the years, Tim has touched the lives of more than 500 residents, renovated countless apartments, served as our go-to TV repairman, and always found a way to help with whatever was needed. His hard work, kindness, and commitment have left a lasting mark on our community.

One of the most unique legacies Tim leaves behind is a collection of 526 resident nameplates that he carefully saved while renovating apartments since the year 2000. Each nameplate represents a resident who called Hickory Valley home and reflects the many lives Tim helped support throughout his career.

Tim has spent thousands of hours caring for our community, and his presence will be deeply missed by residents, families, and team members alike. We are grateful for his years of service, friendship, and dedication.

Please join us in thanking Tim for 26 remarkable years and wishing him all the best in his well-earned retirement!

June mornings at Hickory Valley have a particular kind of rhythm to them. The raised garden beds are full, the courtyards are cool before the Chattanooga heat settles in, and breakfast in the dining room turns into a longer conversation than anyone planned.

Trust is built every day in our community—and today we put it to the test! 💙 Our Activity Director took on the “I Trust My Residents” Challenge, and our residents did not disappoint. Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of fun made this a moment to remember!

The fairy gardens our residents created for International Garden Gnome Day deserve a permanent spot here! Each tiny pathway, miniature bloom, and whimsical detail tells a story of creativity, imagination, and joy. These little worlds may live on our windowsills, but they’ve also found a forever home in our memories.

Garden gnomes weren’t the only magical creatures spotted around our community today! 🍄✨

To celebrate International Garden Gnome Day, our residents brought a little enchantment indoors by creating charming brownie gnomes and whimsical fairy gardens for their windows. Tiny gardens bloomed, sweet gnome friends appeared, and imaginations ran wild as each creation added a touch of magic to our halls.

Who says fairy tales are just for storybooks? Around here, they’re right on our windowsills! 🌿🧚‍♀️💚

🎣 Gone fishin’! Our residents spent the afternoon casting their lines and reeling in plenty of smiles during a fun Fishing for Answers game. 🐟💙

We chose this activity to celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week, which begins each year during the first full week of June. This special week encourages people of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the outdoors and discover the joy of fishing. Many states even offer free fishing days during this time, allowing participants to fish without a license!

From friendly competition to lots of laughter, our anglers had a wonderful time making memories together. 🎣✨

Our Hickory Valley Soda Shop was a sweet success! Residents put their trivia skills to the test while enjoying delicious treats, including Dirty Coke, Strawberries & Cream Sprite, and Orange Dreamsicle Fanta. Great conversation, lots of laughs, and refreshing drinks made for a wonderful afternoon together!
