Pickering Equine, based in Chester Springs, PA offers an array of rehabilitation capabilities, including an aqua trainer, horse gym 2000 dry treadmill, shockwave therapy and a class 4 regenerative laser. Each horse at Pickering Eq

uine receives their own customized plan, as formulated by Dr.Batchelor and/or the referring veterinarian. Referring veterinarians are welcomed and encouraged to monitor horses' progress throughout the rehabilitation process with the staff. Pickering equine is the ideal rehabilitation destination for the east coast's top performance horses.

🍂 There’s something about Devon in the fall.
The familiar blue of the Dixon Oval and that unmistakable feeling that another beautiful fall show season has begun.
Pickering Equine is looking forward to the Devon Fall Classic and to spending the week alongside so many of the horses, riders, trainers, and friends who make this sport so special.
Dr. Hope Batchelor will be available throughout the show for sports medicine and veterinary support, with individualized approach we bring to every horse in our care.

🍂 Hello, September!🍂

🐴As the sun sets on the last days of summer, there’s a familiar change in the air.
Cooler mornings and the anticipation of a new season ahead.

Fall brings with it some of our favorite traditions—indoor horse shows, early mornings in the hunt field, carriage driving through the changing countryside, and countless hours spent doing what we love with our horses.

At Pickering Equine, we’re looking forward to all that this season holds and to being alongside our clients and their horses through every mile, every round, and every adventure.

Today, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and passion that keep our equestrian community moving forward every day.

From veterinarians and technicians to trainers, grooms, riders, farriers, farm owners, barn staff, and everyone working behind the scenes — thank you for the early mornings, late nights, long days, and countless hours devoted to the care of our horses.

And on Labor Day, we can’t forget some of the hardest workers of all — our horses. 🤎

Whether they are competing, training, teaching, rehabilitating, or simply being the partners we love, their heart, effort, and willingness inspire us every day.

At Pickering Equine LLC, horses may be our specialty… but we all know there’s usually a very important barn dog supervising the operation! 🐶🐴

From keeping a watchful eye on the arena to riding along for barn chores, greeting clients, and making sure absolutely no snack goes unnoticed, our four-legged canine companions are an important part of life around the barn. 🤎

Pickering Equine is looking to hire an experienced barn hand to assist with an elite equine rehab program. Great opportunity to further your knowledge in horse health, equine rehabilitation, and sport-horse medicine.

Duties include (but not limited to):
-Preparing horses for and operating water and dry treadmills
-Grooming and general care of rehab horses
-Assisting with daily rehab therapies
-Occasional but not daily stall cleaning
-Helping keep barn organized and running smoothly

Full and part-time opportunities available depending on candidate experience level. At least one weekend day is required.
