In patients with heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction, finerenone consistently lowered systolic blood pressure and reduced cardiovascular deaths and heart failure events, independent of baseline blood pressure.

This randomized clinical trial analyzes whether finerenone lowers blood pressure and whether its cardiovascular benefits in patients with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction heart failure depend on baseline blood pressure or blood-pressure reduction.

This editorial indicates that disease-specific thresholds may improve prognostic assessment once transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy has been established.

Pulsed field ablation-based posterior wall isolation did not significantly reduce the primary recurrence end point, although lower atrial arrhythmia burden suggests that the choice of end point may influence how benefit is assessed.
