My birthday is Monday, but we started early at work because I will be out of the office on the actual day. I am blessed to work with amazing people whose care for patients is reflected in how they treat each other. I am grateful.

A vocal hemorrhage is, in many ways, like a bruise. Typically, people don’t cough up blood, but the voice changes abruptly. It can happen during a sneeze or cough or even while talking or singing. Like a bruise, it changes color as it resolves. They start of red, the turn purple, then brown, then yellow. The good news is that can the resolve and the vocal folds can still be healthy afterwards.
