Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Child and Family Treatment Center of CCBH booth at the OhioRISE Fair hosted at Cincinnati Children's on July 29th!

Our team members, Mia Bowers and Kimberley Jackson, enjoyed connecting with families, providers, and community partners to share information about OhioRISE and the services available through Central Clinic Behavioral Health. It was a wonderful opportunity to answer questions, build new connections, and highlight how coordinated, community-based care helps youth with complex behavioral health needs thrive at home, at school, and in their communities.

We're grateful to Cincinnati Children's for hosting this meaningful event and to everyone who helped make it a success.

Together, we're strengthening support for Ohio's children, youth, and families.

Staff Spotlight: Nickie Harris, CDCA

Today, we're excited to spotlight Nickie Harris, CDCA, an Alternative Interventions Case Manager who has been making a difference at Central Clinic for the past 2½ years.

For Nickie, the most rewarding part of her role is being one of the first people clients meet when they enter the AIM or AIW programs. She understands that many individuals arrive feeling anxious or uncertain about another court-ordered requirement, and she works hard to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves.

"Watching clients go from feeling defeated to finding their confidence, their voice, and their purpose is so rewarding," Nickie shares.

No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly what she loves about her work. Through her interactions with clients, Nickie has gained a deep appreciation for the resilience, determination, and compassion of justice-involved individuals. She considers it a privilege to advocate for them and witness their growth throughout the recovery and rehabilitation process.

Fun Fact: Nickie's favorite motto is, "When there's a will, there's a way." It reflects her determined, creative, and resourceful approach to both life and work. Outside of the office, she's a proud wife and mother of two, dog mom to three, caretaker of a bearded dragon, and a backyard farmer with 12 chickens!

Thank you, Nickie, for your dedication, advocacy, and commitment to helping our clients discover their strength and potential. We are grateful to have you on our team!

Today, we're proud to shine a spotlight on Pam Bowers, Clinical Director of The Child and Family Treatment Center Division, who has dedicated 24 years to serving children, families, and communities through Central Clinic Behavioral Health.

Pamela’s day often begins before she even arrives at the office. Her days are filled with collaborating with school administrators, community partners, clinicians, clients, and families—all while providing guidance and support to her team. Staff Spotlight: Vanessa Brown, LPCC-S, LICDC, CTRP-C

Director of Family Healing Center – in Butler & Clermont Counties
Today, we're proud to recognize our Director of Family Healing Centers in Butler and Clermont Counties, who has been serving Central Clinic since January 2015.

Driven by a passion for helping families heal, Vanessa finds the greatest reward in supporting children and families as they work toward safety, stability, and reunification whenever possible. Through compassionate leadership, she helps ensure that families receive services that balance accountability, structure, hope, and healing during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

"I am especially fulfilled when I see parents develop healthier parenting skills, when children begin to feel safe and connected to their families, and when families make progress toward their treatment goals."

In addition to supporting families directly, Vanessa is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering her team so they can provide high-quality, trauma-informed care. Her leadership helps strengthen families, promote child safety, and create opportunities for lasting positive change.

What continues to inspire her most is the resilience of the children and families served by the program. Witnessing their growth, perseverance, and success fuels her dedication to continually improving services and delivering exceptional care.

Thank you, Vanessa, for your leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping families heal and thrive.
