💙 That’s a wrap in Grand Junction…but the work continues!

We heard the call to bring our statewide Conference on Inclusive Education to the Western Slope, and we're so glad we did! The majority of our attendees were joining us for the very first time, bringing new connections, perspectives, and conversations.

✨ A special thank you to Glenna Wright-Gallo for a thought-provoking keynote that sparked conversations around the tables, challenged us to think differently, and gave us plenty to take home and consider.

As we celebrate 40 years of PEAK, we're reminded that inclusion takes ongoing conversations, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to making sure everyone belongs.

We were proud to recognize Lori during PEAK Parent Center’s Conference on Inclusive Education in Grand Junction!

As Executive Director of Avery’s Light and a longtime advocate for individuals with disabilities and their families, Lori has dedicated her efforts to breaking down barriers, expanding opportunities, and building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Through her leadership, compassion, and commitment to making a difference, Lori is helping create a world where individuals with disabilities have the resources, support, and opportunities they deserve.

What an incredible first day at PEAK's 40th Anniversary Conference on Inclusive Education! đź’ś
Today, we had the honor of welcoming families, educators, advocates, professionals, and community partners from across Colorado and beyond to Grand Junction as we celebrated 40 years of PEAK Parent Center!
Our theme, "We Belong Here: From Presence to Participation," reminds us why we do this work and why coming together to learn, connect, and advocate for meaningful inclusion matters so much.
As PEAK's CEO, it was truly an honor to welcome everyone this morning and reflect on the incredible journey of our organization, the families who started it all, and the many people who continue to move our mission forward.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing PEAK team, our sponsors, presenters, partners, and everyone who joined us on the Western Slope to be part of this special milestone.

What an incredible start to PEAK Parent Center’s 2026 Conference on Inclusive Education!

💙 We kicked off the morning with a heartfelt and inspiring keynote from PEAK’s own Erin Camper, “A Path That Is Anything But Ordinary.”

We missed having Rebekah Taussig with us today and are sending her our warmest wishes!

👏 A huge shoutout to PEAK’s amazing Parent Advisors and Tena Green for stepping in and delivering a powerful, heartfelt conversation filled with personal experiences, meaningful insights, and a reminder of what true belonging looks like!

✨ Now, attendees are diving into our first round of breakout sessions—exploring practical strategies, exchanging ideas, and making connections.

The energy is wonderful, the conversations are meaningful, and we're just getting started!

Have you ever considered becoming an Educational Surrogate Parent (ESP)? ESPs help protect the educational rights of students with disabilities who don't have a parent or guardian available to represent them in the special education process.

Join PEAK Parent Center for a FREE virtual training to learn about the role of an ESP, the special education process, and how you can make a difference!

PEAK’s Allies for Inclusion Award honors individuals who are smashing barriers, opening doors, inspiring others, and creating meaningful change for inclusion in their communities. We’re grateful to each of this year’s finalists for the work they are doing to move inclusion forward for people with disabilities across Colorado.

🏆 We’ll officially announce and celebrate this year’s recipient on October 13 at PEAK’s Conference on Inclusive Education in Grand Junction. Watch for the social media post!
