Sara has been at Four Seasons since 2006. She and her family have always enjoyed working puzzles together, they even had a little hand in this one!

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest impact.

At our Indiana community Four Seasons Retirement Center, QMA Ursula Cartwright recently noticed that a resident living with Parkinson’s disease seemed uncomfortable in social settings because of a side effect he rarely talked about. Wanting to help him feel more confident and at ease, Ursula personally purchased a clothing protector for him.

The next day, the resident proudly wore it everywhere, sharing with anyone who would listen how special the gift made him feel. His daughter later called our team overwhelmed with gratitude for the compassion Ursula showed her father.

Moments like this are a beautiful reminder that at BHI communities, care is about more than meeting needs, it’s about helping residents feel seen, valued, and loved.

As part of this week's celebration of the state of Indiana, our residents enjoyed a special visit to the Indiana Supreme Court! From learning about the state’s judicial system to admiring the beautiful architecture, it was a memorable day filled with discovery, conversation, and Hoosier pride.

Fun fact: The Indiana Supreme Court is the highest court in the state and has been serving Indiana since 1816 — the very year Indiana became a state! ⭐

We love creating opportunities for our residents to connect with local history, lifelong learning, and each other.

Our newest Athens Crossing resident, Bill, and his adorable dog, Clover, stop by each week to spread smiles and brighten everyone’s day. Clover has quickly become part of both the Four Seasons and Athens Crossing family! 🐾💙
