THANK YOU 🤎

To everyone who came out to support us today at Stratford Ecological Center — we are so grateful!

One of our favorite things about being a small local business is getting to show up for the places that make our community so special. 🌿

A portion of today’s sales is going right back to Stratford Ecological Center to support the important work they do — connecting people with nature, sustainable agriculture, and the land around us.

So when you shopped with us today, you were supporting more than our little business. You were helping us give back, too. 🌱

Thank you for showing up, shopping local, and helping us support a place we’re so lucky to have in our community. 🤎

✨ I’ve been thinking a lot about resilience lately.

I think sometimes we imagine resilience as being strong enough that the hard things don’t affect us. I’m starting to think it’s something different.

The beginning of almost anything is exciting. The end can be exciting too. But somewhere in the middle, things get hard.

And I think the middle is where resilience lives.

That’s where plans change. Costs go up. Fatigue sets in. Fear creeps in. You question why you committed in the first place, and sometimes you’re simply too tired to see clearly.

This season has given me plenty of opportunities to experience that middle. The amount of rain we’ve had has affected farmers, growers and market businesses all around me.

For The Local Grind, it’s meant lost sales, protecting products from moisture, wear and tear on my setup, unexpected expenses, changing plans—and the emotional exhaustion of doing it all again the next week.

Resilience doesn’t mean it hasn’t worn on me. It has.
But sometimes I need to step aside long enough to remember how far God has brought me—and look at everything that has grown along the way.

The knowledge. The friendships. The mentors. My family loading bins, helping with markets and praying for me. The familiar faces who stop by my booth. The customers who bring someone they love because they want to share their experience with them.

That’s when I remember that The Local Grind was never just about transactions.
It’s about community.

And maybe resilience isn’t standing perfectly still while the storm passes.
Maybe resilience is being willing to change without losing sight of why you started.

It’s showing up again. Creating and recreating. Pivoting when necessary. Accepting help. Learning from what didn’t work.
And growing your roots deeper into well-nurtured ground so you can continue reaching higher.

So yes, I’m tired of the rain. 😅 But I’m also incredibly thankful—for my family, this community, and everyone who continues to believe in what I’m building. 🫶

And strangely enough, I’m thankful to discover just how resilient these roots have become. 🤎

There is wisdom in changing. 🍂
Thanks for hanging in there with me along the way!

🍂 The story behind Harvest Glow 🍂

When I began creating my autumn collection, I wanted to capture the warmth of the season without artificial fragrance, color or shimmer—just nourishing oils, real botanicals and a naturally cozy aroma.

Harvest Glow begins with jojoba and sweet almond oils slowly infused with calendula petals, real organic vanilla bean and crushed cardamom. I finish the infusion with organic cedarwood and sweet orange essential oils, creating a subtle aroma that feels warm, earthy and gently uplifting.

From this one botanical infusion, I created two different ways to care for autumn skin:

🍂 Harvest Glow Body Oil
A lightweight daily moisturizer that helps soften and replenish dry skin without feeling overly greasy. Massage it into slightly damp skin after bathing to help hold in moisture.

🍂 Harvest Glow Sugar Scrub
Organic cane sugar gently buffs away dry, dull skin while the infused oils remain behind, leaving your skin feeling smooth, soft and moisturized—no additional body oil needed.

Choose the oil when your skin needs everyday moisture, or reach for the scrub when you want gentle exfoliation and moisture in one simple step.

No synthetic fragrance. No artificial color or shimmer. Just real plants, thoughtfully infused oils and simple ingredients chosen to care for your skin.

Harvest Glow Body Oil + Sugar Scrub
Nourishing • Grounding • Made in small batches

🌾 WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
Dress for the weather and barnyard activities. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get dirty – after all, that’s half the fun! Baby carriers are highly recommended over strollers for those with little legs that might get tired as strollers can be difficult to navigate across various terrains around the farm.

🍂 WALK-INS ARE WELCOME!
No pre-registration? No problem. Come join us!
Pre-registration helps us prepare for the day and makes check-in a little faster when you arrive, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Pre-register here: https://stratfordecologicalcenter.org/fall

We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm, celebrate the season, and enjoy a day of fall fun together! 🍎

🍂 Meet Autumn Grind—fall comfort, handcrafted into a bar.

Grass-fed tallow, olive oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, and real pumpkin purée create a rich, conditioning lather. Pumpkin naturally contains skin-loving beta-carotene and vitamins C and E, while ground mushroom coffee Four Sigmatic gently exfoliates and polishes.

Made with local Honeyrun Farm Fall-Harvest honey, whose natural sugars help produce a beautifully bubbly lather and add to the bar’s smooth, luxurious feel. Orange, cinnamon, clove, and patchouli essential oils complete it with a warm, earthy autumn aroma.

Best suited for normal, dry, or rough body skin—and anyone who loves gentle exfoliation with cozy fall character. Those with very sensitive skin or nut allergies should review the ingredients and patch-test before use.

Available this weekend Worthington Farmers Market
