Carry On Therapy Presents: Teach it Tuesdays 👩‍🏫

📰This week's topic: BCBA vs RBT

Your child's ABA team is made up of at least two key roles: the BCBA and the RBT. A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is the supervisor — they assess your child, design the program, write the goals, and oversee everything. An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is the person who delivers most of the hands-on therapy under the BCBA's supervision. Both are trained and credentialed, but they have different levels of responsibility. Understanding who does what helps you know who to go to with different questions. Clinical concerns and program changes go to the BCBA; day-to-day session questions can go to the RBT.
