’s are instrumental in developing treatments, therapies, and greater understanding of pediatric diseases. Holding eight disease-specific care certifications from The Joint Commission, Children’s Health has been consistently named one of the nation’s top pediatric providers by U.S. News & World Report. The Children’s Health system includes the flagship hospital Children’s Medical Center Dallas, as well as Children’s Medical Center Plano and the Children’s Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern. Children's Health provides care ranging from neonatal critical care to sports medicine, from trauma to eating disorders. Many of the specialty programs of the Children's system have received national and international recognition, including the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Heart Center. Children’s also works to improve the quality of life for children with chronic conditions through nationally recognized disease management programs, including Asthma Management, Diabetes Education and Autism. Children’s Health is a major center for pediatric liver, kidney, heart, intestinal and bone marrow transplants, and was the first designated Level I trauma center for pediatrics in Texas.
