Your healing does not have to look perfect to be real. Some days growth is resting. Some days growth is setting boundaries. Some days growth is simply getting out of bed and choosing yourself again. Speak to yourself with the same kindness you give everyone else. Your mind is listening. 🤍

Honored to present at the CMU MI-ACE Women’s Retreat 2026. 💛

We spent time exploring nervous system regulation, burnout recovery, stress responses, and the importance of creating sustainable balance in both our personal and professional lives.

So grateful for the opportunity to share space with such powerful, resilient women who continue showing up for themselves and others every day.

Thank you to CMU MI-ACE for creating a space for connection, growth, and wellness.đź’›

Prioritize rest. Connection. Boundaries. Support.
You deserve care too. đź’š

At Rising Cedar Counseling and Wellness, we believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported.

This month is a reminder that mental health conversations matter — and no one should have to navigate life’s challenges alone. 💚

Maternal mental health is not a luxury — it’s healthcare.

Anxiety, depression, overwhelm, burnout, and emotional exhaustion during pregnancy and postpartum deserve real support without shame or silence.

You are not alone, and help is available. đź’š

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Healing isn’t linear, growth isn’t loud, and some days survival is the win.

Support systems matter, early intervention matters, and people deserve to be heard without judgment.

Give yourself grace because you’re doing more than you think.

🌱 Supporting a Child’s Mental Health

Kids don’t always say “I’m struggling.”
They show you.

When a child is:
• Acting out
• Withdrawing
• Extra clingy or irritable

They’re not being “difficult.”
They’re having a hard time.

What helps:
đź’› Co-regulate before you correct
đź’¬ Name the feeling
đź‘‚ Listen more than you fix

You don’t need to be perfect—just present.

Anxiety isn’t always obvious.

It’s not just panic attacks or visible fear.
A lot of the time, anxiety is quiet—and constant.

You might still show up.
Still get things done.
Still look “okay” to everyone else.
But inside, it’s exhausting.

Anxiety isn’t a personality trait.
It’s not something you just “push through.”
It’s something that deserves attention, understanding, and support.

Everyone prioritizes mental health in theory,
but what does that look like in practice?

It’s not always manicures and spa days.
Sometimes it’s:
– being honest about your limits
– taking care of the basics
– learning to let go
– doing what’s best for you

It might feel uncomfortable, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It means you’re on the right path.

April is Autism Acceptance Month.

Autism is not something that needs to be “fixed.”

It’s a different way of experiencing, processing, and interacting with the world.

Autistic individuals often navigate environments that were not designed with neurodiversity in mind. Acceptance means listening, learning, and creating spaces where people can exist as they are, without pressure to mask who they are.

Embarking on therapy can feel like a leap into the unknown.

Therapy provides a confidential space to share your thoughts, explore your emotions, and learn strategies to enhance your mental health. It's about taking care of yourself.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or burnt out, therapy can help. It's a journey toward understanding yourself better and building the skills to navigate life's ups and downs.

At Rising Cedar Counseling & Wellness, we're here to support you with virtual therapy sessions, group therapy, and workshops designed to foster growth and healing.

You're stronger than you think; support starts here.
