Founded in 1982, Channel Marker provides mental health and wellness support for adults and youth with severe mental illness in Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot counties. Through a wide range of on-site, residential and community based services specifically tailored to the needs of each client, more than 55 clinical and mental health services staff serve an average of 400 clients each year. Funding

for our work primarily comes from Medicaid with support from generous members of the community, the State of Maryland, and private foundations.

Joining us all the way from Australia is special guest Matt Runnalls, who will bring an uplifting message centered on mental health, hope, and the power of community. Matt will encourage and uplift our youth, reminding them of the importance of connection, self-worth, and reaching out for support when needed.

Clients enjoyed a vibrant Spring Fling Celebration filled with laughter, connection, and plenty of feel-good moments. The day was packed with fun activities, including games and lively rounds of bingo that brought out friendly competition and big smiles. Everyone enjoyed delicious food together, creating a warm sense of community, and the highlight of the day was a special visit from Isiah's Ice Cream Delights that added a sweet finishing touch. It was a joyful celebration of Spring, wellness, and togetherness that left everyone smiling and uplifted.

Today, we say farewell and celebrate our coworker and dear friend, Teresa, as she begins her well-deserved retirement after nearly 19 years of dedication, compassion, and service. Your kind spirit, pleasant smile, generous heart, and willingness to always lend a listening ear have been a true pleasure to everyone who has had the opportunity to work alongside you throughout the years.

Teresa, you have been more than a coworker; you have been a source of comfort, encouragement, and positivity to so many. Your presence will truly be missed, but we are so excited for this next chapter of life and all the joy it will bring you.
